Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts SwitchHitter Roof Bike Rack, part number RKY1270. We have a bike already installed on the rack so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.One of the nicest features about this bike rack is the fact that it grips your bike by the fork mounts up here with this nine millimeter skewer. This can be switched out and you can use this with both 12 and 15 millimeter thru-axles as well. You just have to remove this completely. What's nice about this gripping it by the force or your thru-axles, is that fact that you're not going to have any contact with your bikes, so it won't have to risk any damage with your carbon frame bikes as well.At the rear, we're going to have these wheel straps to hold them in place. These are adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate bikes of different sizes. more

Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.How this actually grips your bike, it's gonna have two points of contact with no frame contact at all, which is nice for bikes of this style with a carbon frame.At the front, it's gonna grip it by your fork mouth with this 9 mm skewer. This can be switched out and you can use this with through-axles as well, and then that would be locked in place. At the rear, we'll have this wheel strap which is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate for bikes of different sizes.With everything installed as it is, we're not gonna have any issue of clearance between the rear hatch and our bike rack, as you can see here. At the rear of our bike rack, we do have the option of an integrate cable lock, but you do need to purchase the core 00:00:56 locks separately. more

And this is lockable by knocking out this plastic piece on the skewer itself and replacing it with the Thule lock core.The rear, we're going to have this wheel strap and this is adjustable to the length of the bike to accommodate for bikes of different sizes. And with everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between our actual bike rack and the hatch itself. more

However, you will have to remove the front tire, so that may be a little bit of a hindrance, but it does grip it by your front fork mount her with the skewer mount. A skewer mount does have a lock on it. Once you attach this, it's going to be secured to the bike rack.At the rear, we do have this strap and this is adjustable back and forth along the bike to accommodate bikes of difference sizes as well. more

Instead, we're going to have this wheel hook up at the front holding our front tire in place, and then our two wheel straps at the front and the rear. Now, this is pretty unique compared to other bike racks as most of them require you to remove your front tire, and it grips it by the forks. It does come with locks as well as a cable that you can wrap around your bike so you can secure it to the bike rack once it's installed. With everything installed as it is now, you're going to see here that it's not going to have any clearance issues between our hatch and the bike rack itself. Instead, we're going to have these two tire holds on both tires to hold it into place. Now this is pretty unique compared to other bike racks as they usually have you remove the front tire to attach them. It does have a locking mechanism up here, so once you install this, this is actually going to be secured to the .. The bike, excuse me, is going to be secured to the bike rack, and because our front portion here, or excuse me, our rear crossbar portion here is blocked, you can't actually removed this either, so it's secured to the roof rack as well. more

Now we already have our bike on our rack, we're first going to show you how we strap that down then we'll go over some features. So, I'm going to start off in the back here and a stool to step up on. At the back we've got our ratcheting strap that you're going to see on most of your roof mounted bike racks. It's got a bushing here that's going to protect your bike and hold it down into that cradle a little better. So, to release it, we're going to push down on this gray lever, and lift that strap out of the way. At the front here, we have a skewer. more

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno tire hold rooftop-mounted bike rack. Part number INA389. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our bike rack, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on your vehicle. Let's go ahead and talk about how the bike is secured to our rack. Here in the middle, you're going to have your ratcheting mechanism that does lock and secure. We'll go ahead and unlock that, and you can see how that back bar releases. If you bring it up a little bit, and we hit that ratchet down and secure it, once we press this forward, it's going to lock the bike in place. Only holding it by the wheels instead of by the frame. It'd be good for your more expensive bikes, and things that you don't want touching the frame of your bike, maybe if you have an expensive carbon-fiber frame or what not. So let's go ahead and unlock that, bring it up, and we'll roll that back one back, and then remove our bike. more

You're going to have that safety strap going around the rear wheel, making sure that you have an equal amount of space between your spokes so when you pass the strap through, you don't damage your wheel. Press on the black button to disengage. Pull the strap out so it's free. Now we'll go up front. This is a meter 00:00:38 locking skewer. more

Inno  Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe ina392

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Multi-Fork Rooftop Mounted Bike Rack. As you can see we've already got our bike up here so you can see how it's going to look like once you have it in place on top of your vehicle all assembled and with a bike on it. It's going to be Part Number INA392. First off, let's go ahead and talk about how our bike is secured to the rack itself. You're going to have that rear wheel strap coming around the backside of that cradle right here. We'll go ahead and press in that button to release it and pull it out of the way. It is a good measure to make sure that you have an equal amount of space between your spokes so when you pass through that strap you don't damage your wheel, as well as with this bike rack, since it is meant for multiple sized bikes you can see it will have that bigger cradle as well as a smaller cradle on the backside for your road bikes. more

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Slim Fork rooftop mounted bike rack. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it all assembled and on top of your vehicle. It's going to be part number INA387. First off, let's talk about the back side where you have the clap securing the tire. Now this is going to be like a clamping device, kind of like a c-clamp and it's going to fit most all of your tire sizes. You can see that there's going to be that big gap in between where the tire rests. Now you ratchet this down just as you would any other clamp device until it clips. more

Part number TH528. Now that we've seen how the bike looks on top of the vehicle, let's go ahead and talk about how it secures to the rack itself. On the back side you're going to have a safety strap with that nice protective rubber coating to help grip the back of the wheel and hold it into the cradle securely. Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima ForkLift. This is a fork-clamp roof-style bike rack, part number Y02098. We've got the Yakima RailGrab roof rack system already installed on our Sante Fe, so we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack right up onto our crossbars. Here, at the front, we need to remove the skewer. Keep in mind, this is a reverse-thread skewer. You'll have to turn it as if you we're tightening it, and that will actually loosen it. We're then going to slide back our black plastic cover. Then we can loosen up our T-bolt. more

Today on our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be test fitting the Thule Sprint. This is a fork mount roof bike rack, part number TH528. To begin our test fit we'll place our bike rack right up onto our Rhino Rack bars. This is the Vortex Aero setup that we installed earlier. We're going to place the top portion of our clamp right on top of our load bar and bring the black rubber coated metal strap around the underside. We'll do that for both the front and the rear. more

Today on our 2014 Honda Santa Fe Sport, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Front Loader. This is a wheel, front wheel clamp style roof mounted bike rack, it's part number is Y02103. We've got our Rhino Rack Vortek Aero roof rack system already installed on the Santa Fe, so we'll begin our test fit by placing our rack right up onto our cross bars. We're going to loosen the front clamp, I need to loosen the front clamp a little bit more than that. We're then going to slide those right around our front cross bar here, slide it backward so that the small U shaped indention is fitting right on the leading edge of our bar. We'll then tighten the black T handle here on the front, that's going to squeeze our clamp closed and that will secure the front of our rack to our vehicle. With our front nice and secure, let's move to the rear. more

Today on our 2014 Honda Santa Fe Sport, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Trio. This is a fork mount roof bike rack, part number RU01. We already have the Rhino Rack Vortek Aero roof rack system installed onto our Santa Fe, so we're going to begin our test fit by placing the Trio right up onto our cross bars. At the front, we're going to bring one of our black rubber coated U bolts around the underside of the crossbar, fit up into the head of our carrier and secure it with two cylinder nuts. As you can see, one side is threaded, the other side's head has a hex angle shape to it. We're going to want to put the threaded portion down, so we can get to the hex head side with our Allen tool. We'll thread two of these on here, we're just going to put them on loosely for now just to hold our U bolt in place. more

Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today on our 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number Y02098. Our Santa Fe already has a factory roof rack system on it, so well be installing the forklift directly to the factory crossbars. Well take the bike rack and place it up on top of our crossbars. We'll fit the front clamp around the front crossbar and use the wing nut and T-bolt to tighten it down. Then we'll slide our cover back into place and we'll move to the rear. We'll fit the rear clamp around the rear bar and again we'll use the T-bolt and wing nut to tighten that down. more

Today on our 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02103. Our Santa Fe is equipped with a factory roof rack so we're going to mount our FrontLoader directly to that. To mount the FrontLoader, we'll lift it up and place it on top of our crossbars. We'll take the head of the bike and fit the front clamp around our front bar and we'll use the hand nut to tighten it down. In the rear, we'll fit the rear clamp around the bar and use the T-bolt and wing nut to tighten it down. Once we've done that, our bike rack is secured and we're ready to load up a bike. more

Today we have with us a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and were going to be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod Roof Mounted Bike carrier part number RKY1014. Our vehicle already has a full factory roof rack so were ready to go ahead and mount our bike rack to the bars. To fit our bike rack, well place it on top of our bars and put the head of the rack on our front bar making sure its wrapped the rubber-coated steel strap on the bar. Well fit them back into the head and tighten them down with the Allen key. Once weve done that, we can reinstall the cover of the head of the bike rack. At the back of the bike rack, well take our rear clamp, fit it around the bar and use the included wing nut to tighten it down. more

RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today on our 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, well be test fitting the RockyMounts Tie Rod roof-mounted bike carrier part number RKY1014. To begin our test fit, well place the bike rack on top of our factor cross bar, well move to the rear mounting point where well undo the wing nut and bring the clamp underneath the crossbar where well use the wing nut to secure the rear clamp. Well move up to the front crossbar where well use the rubber-coated steel straps to go underneath the crossbar and hook back to the head of the bike rack. We can then use the Allen wrench included with the bike rack to tighten down the Allen bolt securing our rubber-coated steel straps to the front crossbar. With that done, we can reinstall the head cover on our bike rack and now were ready to load up our bike. Well take the front wheel off of our bike and place the bike on top of the bike rack. more
